White Sapote Fruit at Last??

Somehow I missed the flowers, but our white sapote (Suebelle seedling) **finally** has fruit on it, lots of them! Very tiny ones, but fruit just the same. I am going to be dancing with impatience to see if they ripen; we've only been waiting about 17 years.

17 years to fecundity?? Good lord, that's a long time to wait.

No kidding. But the tree has been performing its landscape function all that time, so we were patient.

So what's the word?

Ah, so impatient! :)

Some fell off, but there are still plenty on there. Still tiny. I assume it will be spring, at least, before they ripen. If they don't freeze.
